- Guntersville Lake -
Under Franklin Delano Roosevelt's New Deal in 1939, The Tennessee Valley Authority decided to flood what we now know as Guntersville, creating the Guntersville Lake. Being the largest lake in Alabama, it is known for it's world class fishing. It is one of North Alabama's top spots for Bass Fishing and is also home to a fourth of Alabama's Bald Eagle population. One of the things that sets Lake Guntersville apart from the rest is it has level water year-round. It's natural beauty combined with the city atmosphere makes it the ideal place for rest and relaxation as well as entertaining water sports or hunting. The lake offers 69,000 acres of water ideal for any water activity such as boating, skiing, tubing, fishing, and more. Once you're here you will feel like family. Take a look for yourself and see why Lake Guntersville is perfect for you.
